Our Story
How It All Began
My wife, Kimberly, and I, first picked up a paddle back around 2017, a few years before COVID changed everyone’s routines.
The spark came from a good friend who had played a few times with the church staff at Hunter Street Baptist Church and was eager to share the game with the rest of us. What began as a simple Sunday School event quickly grew into something much bigger — our main social outlet and favorite activity.
From there, we found ourselves playing in the evenings at Hunter Street, a few other local churches, and the Pelham Rec Center, always chasing the next rally and meeting new faces.
From there, we discovered the joy of outdoor pickleball at Herdmont Park, played at Simmons Middle School, and rallied at Patriots Park. Eventually, we settled into the newer courts near our home at Veterans Park in Alabaster, which has been our home base ever since.
Lasting Friendships
Pickleball has given us more than just exercise — it’s given us lasting friendships with people of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.
Rival couples keep us sharp in fun ways, older mentors share wisdom and encouragement, and newcomers bring fresh energy.
It’s a community that feels like family, and we’re grateful for every paddle tap and laugh along the way.

This store is my creative outlet — a way to bring something fresh to the pickleball world.
I love the game, but I don’t think players should be stuck with the same old shirts that say “Tears of My Opponents.” Instead, I’m designing apparel that’s playful, authentic, and celebrates the spirit of the sport.
My hope is that this little venture helps chip away at college costs — though realistically, it may just fund a couple of books or a late‑night fast‑food binge.
One of my kids is at Troy University studying Exercise Science (hopefully on her way to being a Physical Therapist) — so she can help us with all our nagging Pickleball injuries.
Another is likely headed to UAH (University of Alabama at Huntsville) for Game Design — maybe to create the next great pickleball board or video game.
